Happy New Year

 Happy New Year!

I now have mixed feelings about New Years.  It was also my brother Terry's birthday.

RIP Terry!  Hope your heavenly birthday was wonderful!

Terry played drums and was very good at it until Parkinson's Disease decided to enter the picture.  😠Such a dreadful disease!  (Took our mother as well.)

But...other than that, it was a good New Years Eve.  Hope 2026 is better for everyone!

Christmas

Christmas activities are over for us and we had a great time!  Of course, we missed those who are no longer with us. :(    It always amazes me how much effort it takes to prepare and then poof!  It's over.  LOL

Jim and I made pancakes and sausage links for our kids/grandkids for breakfast on Christmas morning.  That went well and was a fun time.  Of course, they all had other places they had to be as well so not long after our exchange they were all off and running to the next thing.  (I don't miss having to do that.)  The rest of our day was spent chillin'.  We were tired but it was a good kind of tired.  We had Christmas with Jim's sister and family the night before.  That is how it goes.  It all seems like it's all over in a flash once the events get started.

I do miss my Mom, Dad, Terry and Joe.  Randy and I are the only 2 kids left in my  family and he spends Christmas with his family in Florida.  They won't be back here until like March.

On to the next thing!!

Hoping for a Happy New Year now!

Miss you Joe

My brother Joe passed away on Dec. 20, 2018.  I miss him so much!  I won't ever forget you Joe!  I am luckier that a lot of people.  I at least still have his voice on songs he recorded on a cd.  I can get on You Tube and listen too.  At least I will always have his voice.

The Countdown is here

Time to take a break from all the odds and ends tasks that happen before Christmas.  My problem is that I will start a little project that turns into something bigger because sometimes if you even give one item a new home, another item has to have one too.  LOL  Or, I will start a cleaning project that will simply lead to another one.  Yikes!

I still have a little wrapping to do but other things have to come before that.  It's kind of the "hurry up and wait" kind of thing.  I'm still waiting for Amazon to deliver a couple of the gifts so I might as well wait and drag that stuff out all at once.  I really want to go do some last minute shopping too.  I like to find little extras to add to some of the gifts.

Above all, I don't forget the reason for the season.  This time of year you can run into some Grinch like people or you see some major beautiful giving individuals making big impacts on someone's life.  Depends on who you are and what kind of life you have been living and what things have happened to you along the way.

And... here I am rambling again, but...it's what I do.  πŸ˜‰

What If?

Have you noticed how lately there are a lot of shows/movies that involve time travel?  My analytical mind sure went there.

What if you wanted to place a thought in the minds of the population that time travel was truly real.  What could you do? πŸ˜‰

Well, how would you place that topic in the minds of the masses?  You could create plots in shows and movies that depicted that very thing.  You could create a lot of them.  There could be enough of them that the public would no longer be surprised about a discussion of something like that.  That way when the truth came out about the existence of time travel, it could be readily accepted instead of freaking people out.

I can't help the places my mind goes to visit sometimes!  LOL

I'm That Grandma

Dressing up in a funny hat and purse to pretend shopping with a 4 yr. old and push a plastic cart around the house.  I'm that grandma.

Building sand castles in the sandbox with the granddaughters.  I'm that grandma.

Going down the tube slide because the little one is too scared to go down by herself.  I'm that grandma.

Shoot baskets on the half court out back.  Because I'm that grandma.

Get on the teeter totter at the park because the other kid was too lightweight to make it happen for the older one.  I'm that grandma.  (That grandma who stretched a tendon in her foot doing it.)

Turning the kitchen into a whatever they want to eat diner as long as it's in stock.  I'm that grandma.

Waiting to make cookies until the 4 yr. old can help because she likes to crack the eggs.  I'm that grandma.😏

Playing playdoh with the 4 yr. old because the other kids are in school.  I'm that grandma.

Playing Go Fish, Memory, Connect 4, Checkers and drawing pictures on the whiteboard.  I'm that grandma.

Messing around in the pool with the kids.  I'm that grandma.

Do Not mess with my granddaughters!  I'm that grandma.  πŸ’ͺ

And THAT is a little tidbit about me.  Call me crazy but ya only live once in this life!

Christmas program and craft show

Today Triad had their school craft fair and Christmas program featuring the 3rd grade chorus. I will have to say, those kids did a bang up job!    It was great!  The FFA served their breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice.  Very nice job!

Over all I think those involved did a fine job!   Now that half my day is gone, I've got to get busy and attend to household chores.  It never ends!

So It's Cold

So it's cold and going to get colder tonight. The forecast is about 9 degrees.  Not looking forward to that, being that I get up and out of here my 5:45 A.M.  I woke up this morning and I'm telling you everything hurt!  I know I've got some arthritis in my knees but not sure why everything else is all upset.  Geez.  Getting older is not for the faint of heart I guess.  Be brave!!!

My youngest granddaughter will be here in a bit to hang out this afternoon so I'd better buckle up buttercup!  She is 4 and busy absolutely every single minute which means I am too.  We do have a good time together thought.  Last night I went to her preschool Christmas program.  It was so sweet!  Time goes so fast...I can't believe she is already this old.  πŸ‘€

Later all,

Cindy

Christmas

Did I say that too loud?  Christmas!!!  Coming at us at the speed of a freight train!  πŸ˜ƒ  Seriously, I'm still eating the pumpkin pie!  But..it is coming.... the shopping, house cleaning, tree assembly and wrapping are on my list now. Yikes!  I now need a nap!

The 3 Grands were here yesterday to help put up the tree and decorate it.  Three girls decorated that tree in record time!  It was like being in a wind storm!  πŸ˜‚πŸ’«  I still need to put out my additional decorations but what a start!

I am tired today and can't imagine why.  Doesn't matter, there are things to do today.  I have a friend I want to see today because her birthday is tomorrow.  The granddaughters are off to school so on to my agenda for the day. My thoughts are also being invaded by the possibility that I may not get that door stripped and painted that I wanted done before Christmas. Kind of a present to myself!  Well myself is just going to have to take the back seat again I'm thinking.πŸ˜‘

Stay tuned!

Holiday thoughts

We are back from our little holiday away.  It was wonderful!  We unplugged for a few days.  I managed to read 2 books and started on the third.  The only way to get me to slow down it seems is putting me somewhere that I can't see everything that I think needs done around home or for someone else.  But...this trip is the perfect solution.  :)  Even though it was rather cold, we managed to get in a nice hike.  We have a lot of memories of this place because we have been going there for over 40 years.  Yikes!

Each day we had homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast, turkey of course and homemade pies.  (That's on my agenda to make before we go, but sooo worth it!)  Oh..and don't forget the homemade noodles too!  Yum!

Now that we are back, it's time to get back into the groove of our daily habits and responsibilities.

It's time to prepare for Christmas.  Oh my goodness it's like time is speeding!

Observations

πŸ‘€ Sometimes I observe things in general.  Recently my brain got me to thinking about what one would do if they just wanted to get some information out to a large mass of people.  How would you go about that?  Hmmm.

Well...if you owned a tv or radio station, you might put the information out like that.  But what would you do if you didn't have that choice?  Maybe you could take a play from the mainstream media playbook (otherwise known as the mocking bird media) and go by the way of the internet.  You might enlist the help of a few content creators of different types of personalities that might resonate with like personality listeners.  You might do the same with blogs and vlogs.  Yeah...you could do that.  For instance, you might enlist help from lets say a boxer, seal team 6 member, farmer, pastor, school teacher and etc.  You would need these various personalities to resonate with maybe 80% or so of people to really get the masses on board with your message.  You could get help from any man, woman or business owner.  The platform possibilities are endless.  (Of course if you don't identify yourself as at least a man or woman I'm thinking you should just stay in Neverland until you figure out what or who you are.)  And THAT is what my brain threw at me today.  ☺

Remember this blog only contains my thoughts, feelings or observations on any given day.

I have no intentions on causing anyone to get their panties in a bunch!  LOL

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Blessings

Now that I have my rant out of the way, my thoughts are now on Thanksgiving.  I am truly blessed with the family and friends that I enjoy.  I am thankful for the food we eat and our health that is so important.  We have special things we do at Thanksgiving that have become tradition.  We face now whether some of those things should change...or not.  The world changes, circumstances change and we are not immune to them.

I sincerely hope anyone who might read this has a Happy Thanksgiving even if you happen to be someone who doesn't hear those words from anyone else in your life.  I personally thank God for my life.  He is in charge of it, no matter what happens.

As always, things written here are just my thoughts on any given moment of my life.  Frankly, it surprises me that there is anyone interested in reading it.  LOL

This is going to be a busy week.  Preparations for our family outing are almost complete except for the last minute things that have to stay "last minute".

Blessings to all until the next rambling, rant or just plain "thoughts".

Later....

What is it?

What is it?  What's bothering the powers that be at Google?  They tell me I've done something wrong and my blog has been flagged to not receive any monetization.  They say I have to fix it to remedy this problem. Problem is...I don't know what exactly set them off.  The title of my blog basically explains that this blog is about MY LIFE THOUGHTS. It is not meant to cause any trouble for anyone, hurt anyone's feelings or mislead anyone in any way.  It is my opinion on a lot of things that come up in my daily life that I've read, seen or heard on or offline.  The other kicker is that my blog receives very little traffic.  Very little views or comments.  So what in the world is the big deal Google?  It's as if I am some dire threat somehow.  I'm just me trying to navigate my life.  Do I have opinions?  Yes.  Does everyone else?  Yes.  Do others have their own brains to be able to establish their own opinions?  Yes they do.

So here I am, as usual, just writing my thoughts down.  I must matter more than I ever thought to be censored like this.  😑

P.S.  I don't speak any other languages so as far as comments go,  keep this in mind.  If it's not in English it won't make much impression on me.

Things Are Happening

There were a lot of things that happened in 2020 and before that as well.  Some have lost hope that anything was going to happen to the evil ones involved.  It appears that things are starting to come out now.  Things that have happened and are going to happen.  Stay tuned to Facebook,, X and Telegram to find out more.  Make sure you have extra things that you might need if you should decide you should stay home for a bit.

EBS....they are telling us it is very close!   Then the whole world will know everything and some will not be able to take what they find out.  Yikes!  It's not cool.  Not at all.  The problem with rabbit holes is that you can't forget what you see or hear.

To Bill and Ammie

Thank you for your previous comments.  I miss Joe more than I can say!  I know many people liked his music.  Thanks for reading!
